Lakewater Tandem and Moving Water Intro Canoe Course – Starting at DFO South Esk then SW Miramichi River
River location will be decided as we get closer and will be based upon water levels for a reliable class two conditions
Please come prepared for all weather conditions. The course will run, rain or shine.
Please bring: (besides a canoe – if you need to negotiate that we can assist with access / partnering)
- Paddles (t-grip preferred w/ square blade)
- Lifejacket
- Whistle
- 50ft buoyant line (1/canoe)
- Bailer
- Drysuit or wetsuit
- Base layers- clothes that will keep you warm when wet – not cottonÂ
- Paddling gloves
- River footwear (should be large enough to fit a warm sock and over your drysuit sock)
- Food for the day
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Any other necessary personal items
- Drybag(s) for your gear
- helmet (I have lots if you do not have one)
